Andy graduated from Central Washington University 1994 with two Bachelor of Arts degrees, one in Law and Justice and the other in Political Science. Both degrees were awarded Magna Cum Laude with Phi Kappa Phi National Honors. He earned his law degree from Gonzaga University School of Law in 1998, also with Magna Cum Laude honors, and earned selection as a member of Alpha Sigma Nu, National Jesuit Honor Society. He worked briefly in a private practice commercial litigation firm and then served as an Assistant Attorney General with the State of Washington.
During his tenure as an Assistant Attorney General, Andy represented the Department of Labor and Industries in workers’ compensation matters before the Board of Industrial Insurance Appeals and the Washington State Courts. He also represented the Department of Corrections and the Indeterminate Sentence Review Board in federal and state trial and appeals courts in Civil Rights litigation.
In 2005, Andy joined a Seattle law firm representing self-insured employers in a variety of workers’ compensation matters including litigation of complex medical and psychological conditions. He served as Co-Chair of the Washington State Self-Insured Association (WSIA) Legislative Sub-Committee, where he advised and assisted in the coordination of the WSIA’s legislative efforts. He also taught a number of Workers’ Compensation Professionals claims manager training courses at the WSIA Industrial Insurance University.
In April 2009, Andy joined Lehmbecker Law, where he assists injured workers and disabled persons, representing them in their workers’ compensation and Social Security claims throughout daily claims management, litigation and appeals. Andy is bilingual and effectively represents both English-speaking and Spanish-speaking clients.
