$300,000 Settlement for a Dog Attack Case

Case Description‍

While our client was over visiting a friend and having coffee in his living room, she was bitten by his dog. The dog was unprovoked. Our client was simply reaching for her coffee cup on the coffee table when the dog came lunging from under the coffee table, latching onto our client’s arm. The dog would not let go and violently shook his head. It wasn’t until the friend/dog owner came over and physically removed the dog from our client’s arm that she was free of the attack. Our client got up and went into the kitchen, where she realized her sleeve was soaked in blood. The dog had ripped open a flat of skin in her forearm. She was immediately driven to the ER, where the wound was attended to, and she received 22 large stitches.  

Final Settlement

We secured a $300,000 settlement for our client nine months after the attack.
